Privacy Policy

What AnswerTide is

AnswerTide builds a support agent from a business's public help pages. Demo tenants are deleted after 7 days or immediately on request. This page also exists so the demo host has a real privacy URL (CLAUDE.md §2.3).

Data we process

• Account data — email and password hash for dashboard users (via Supabase Auth).
• Public web content — pages we crawl from a domain you give us or that we fetch for a demo. We honor robots.txt. Crawled text is untrusted data, never instructions.
• Visitor conversations — questions asked to the widget, answers, citations, and optional email if the visitor asks for a human. No PII is collected by default. Visitor identifiers are anonymous cookies scoped to the customer's site.
• Billing — Stripe handles cards. We store customer and subscription ids, not card numbers.

Retention

Conversations are retained 12 months, then anonymized. Per-tenant export and delete are available. Demo tenants are hard-deleted at 7 days or on request.

We do not sell visitor conversations

We do not sell personal information. We do not use visitor questions to train a foundation model we do not control, beyond the inference call required to answer that question.
